After searching for a church home where she could truly put down roots, she found New Life Church and has spent the past 14 years growing in faith, experiencing God’s faithfulness, and finding healing and freedom. Her story is a powerful reminder that when we surrender what needs to die, God brings new life—and that New Life is a community where people from every nation, tribe, and tongue can belong, grow, and encounter God.

In one or two sentences, what was life like before you came to our church?

Before coming to New Life Church I did not have a church home for about a year. I had been attending a small start-up church in an old movie theater on the East side. It was a great group of people but I needed something more

What brought you here?

Besides Google, lol. I knew I needed to find a church home to plant roots; to get, and stay connected with a body of like minded believers. I was yearning for a place I could connect and serve in the house of God.

How has your life changed since being part of this community?

Over the last 14 years I've seen God do some amazing things. My faith has grown through experiencing His faithfulness and grace in my life. Family members have been saved, I've been blessed at my job and been healed in many ways. The list really goes on and on. God has been so merciful and gracious to me and my family. I need a community that prays and comes in agreement with God's will; to encourage, correct, and support one another.

What is one specific way you’ve seen growth or healing?

Personally I've had physical healing and also emotional healing. I had a stronghold in my life and the Lord 's grace finally freed me from this mindset. I had to die to myself and His grace has been enough for me to persevere.

What does “the graveyard is a garden now” mean to you personally?

Personally it reminds me that in order for some things to live something must die. A seed dies and a flower blooms, we die to ourselves and spiritual growth arises. God laid down His life and reaped a harvest of sons and daughters. It means hope, it literally means new life.

What’s one thing about our church that has impacted you most?

Besides the unadulterated word of God being preached. The diversity of people groups. It's authentic and organic and a true reflection of what heaven is going to be like. I really admire that about New Life. God is calling all nations tongues and tribes and that's us in a nutshell

What would you say to someone considering visiting our church?

I would say come on in, we've been waiting for you!
